SEASONAL INFORMATION

CYO offers basketball leagues for Hot Shots, which are 1st and 2nd graders (co-ed) that runs from September through mid-November. Our grade school league accepts participants from 3rd grade through 8th grade and runs from mid-November through mid-March. The high school league is for 9th - 12th graders that do not play on their high school team.

HOT SHOTS BASKETBALL (1ST & 2ND CO-ED)

Hot Shots is offered at select schools, so contact your local athletic director to see if your school has a team. If not, you can go play at the nearest club that does have a team.

BASKETBALL (3RD - 8TH)

Grade school basketball is offered at almost every CYO club, so contact your local athletic director to see if your school has a team.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL (9TH - 12TH)

High School basketball is run through the CYO office. Packets are usually available at your school office or you can contact the CYO office. You must put your own team together and find a coach (usually a parent & they must be at least 21 years of age). Teams of 10 are required, however you can play with 8 kids but you must make up the price difference.

Ask your friends at school or in the neighborhood to sign up on your team. All kids will have to fill out the registration forms. Find an adult who would be willing to coach your team. They must fill out a coaches agreement and complete all CYO coaching requirements. Once you have all the players registration forms, complete the team roster, collect the money and call the CYO office to make an appointment to register your team.

The mandatory coaches meeting is on Wednesday, December 7th. Uniforms, schedules and coaches badges will be handed out.
