Champions of Faith Benefit Dinner

WHEN: Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 // 6pm
WHERE: Oregon Convention Center // Oregon Ballroom

CYO/Camp Howard is holding the Second Annual "Champions of Faith" Benefit Dinner on October 2nd, at the Oregon Convention Center. This year we will be in the other ballroom; the Oregon Ballroom.

We are excited for our keynote speaker; Karen Gaffney. She is a 1997 graduate of St. Mary's Academy and earned a two-year Associates of Science degree from Portland Community College in 2001. Gaffney swam the English Channel as part of a six-person relay team. She swam 9-miles across Lake Tahoe to raise money for the National Downs Syndrome Congress and to show the world that people with Down Syndrome are more alike than different from everyone else. She travels the country speaking to audiences about overcoming limitations and about what can be accomplished with positive expectations.

The purpose of the dinner is to celebrate the excellent work of CYO/Camp
Howard and to raise financial aid funds for youth who otherwise might not be
able to attend our programs. Our organization serves 11,000 participants
every year. Ten percent of those participants receive financial aid from
CYO/Camp Howard and the need continues to grow.

Last years event was a big success with over 600 attendees. Thank you for all your support and generosity! We couldn't do it without you.

We look forward to seeing you again this fall!
